Say some prayers for Iran...!

Baha'is have been asked by the Universal House of Justice to say some prayers for the friends in Iran... this is a tense time if you've been following the news so
I'm encouraging everyone I know to pray!

"Bahá’ís the world over are encouraged by the Supreme
Body to supplicate the Almighty, during the potent season of the Fast, for the
protection and well-being of the people of Iran. We are confident in your fervent
and heart-felt response."

Thanks Arthra - Could you please post a couple of the news items?

Life is busy at the moment and I have not been following current affairs.

The wife and I work 350km apart, so spend a lot of time travelling & do not have radio reception most of the time.

Thanks for the continued informative posts

Regards Tony

While this is terrible, there are worse things that have been done, but the state of mind of people who will do this to others is a tragedy in light of what human potential can be. It far more reveals the persecutors than the Baha'is. It's truly silly. To control others in this way is the opposite of humanity.

Ya Baha'ul'Abha!!

These blessed souls are doing their part. They have become the very pillars referred to in the Book of Revelation:

. 3:11 "I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown.

3:12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

3:13 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

.

thank you dear brother, Bill. but I guess I am not as courageous as you think. I have not been tested about my courage till now specially as I am a new Baha'i (one year) but other kinds of tests here are worse than "courage". I should hear almost everyday opposing, and offensive things about our faith and for a new believer these are big challenges cuz sometimes I think "what if they are right and I am wrong?" and this is sometimes a VERY big torture, VERY big. also I can't have hard cover books which is the wish of anyone who has accepted a faith newly. yet there are those other kinds of difficulties (physical tortures) as you all know (and I have not been subjected to). my prayers (just as yours) goes for those in prisons and restrictions here and all around the world

Beloved sister of course I speak of those who have been and are being abused/tortured for their faith, and their wonderful strength in not surrendering for a moment their faith, they truly are an example to us all.
But dear one, that you wish to be a Baha'i in your land, knowing all these things, is truly a brave deed, do not sell yourself short, I worry and pray for you, that you will be kept safe.

Loving regards

Maryamr,
. Let us consider: "What if they are right?"

. If they are right, why do they imprison, torture, and execute Baha'is in order to silence them?

. Why do they deprive Baha'is of jobs, pensions, and education?

. Why do they deprive you of Baha'i books?

. Why are they unable to give intelligent consideration of the proofs of Baha'u'llah's Revelation, instead resorting to beastial behavior, burning books, responding with anger and hatred.

. If they are right, I would much prefer to be wrong

.

I will pray for you dear Maryamr and for your brothers and sisters in faith there. I will also pray for the conversion of Iran and the whole world as well because now is the time for God's Mercy. I really.... really hope that humanity seizes this chance before the Justice of God comes to set it straight.
All i can say is my Love and Solidarity goes out to you, the Bahais in Iran and all over as well as the innocent Muslim and Christian men women and children who are being put through hell as the result of the disgusting designs of diabolical tyrants and groups.

I recently found this poem that inspired me:

O Liberty!

O Liberty!

You are a resplendent spark from God,

A torchlightfrom Paradise,

The song of every living being,

Sung with yearning and love.

You are an exquisite bird,

That God imparted

From the Gardens of Paradise!

Touch me, O Liberty,

With your wonderful balm,

For then you bring me back to life.

Oh how many a distraught prisoner call upon you

With all they uphold of hope!

And how many a one in chains

Dreams that you will grant him compassion!

You are the messenger of Heaven,

Beloved of the Apostles,

Beloved of the Angels and Cherubim!

You are the Daughter of God!

So, come to me, O Liberty!

God bless you Maryamr and all those who suffer for God's name.
