Why merely believe it?

You can know it

um no! you cannot know it. According to bahai writings only manifestations can know god. Thats why we need them, only they can know god. (not my opinion or words, but that is what they say)

Buddha and Bahaullah spoke of the same god. Except they each spoke it in a way that those around them would understand. I believe these guys were deep thinkers who discovered something within their minds and tried to help others by teaching them to look within as well. The rest of it poetry, the burning bush, the water fall, Mara, etc. Thats just their way of communicating with the average man. Who has not looked within and who is not a deep thinker.

Think of manifestations as mathematicians trying to teach a bunch of 3 year olds. They start by simple addition and they might use the child's favorite toys as teaching tools. ...This stuffed bear + this stuffed monkey=2 stuffed animals.... Some of those children might grow up and believe that the bear and the monkey held a special meaning!

WE do not believe either Buddha or Baha'u'llah were deep thinkers, Their knowledge was innate, and They gave a Revelation to men, though you are very right about the rest of your explanation.
