Hey Lu!

I was just in the presence of Abdul'baha, but I was in an MRI, had cascading memories that relived events that evoked PTSD in their passing. I have no doubt that we can have incredible experiences, but as in the ring symbol and even in marriage there are barriers that we are not ever going to cross.

I would say if you have been in the presence of the Absolute as you refer to it, then it should bear fruit. I came out of it nuttier than a fruitcake, but happy as a clam, apparently with some things I had blocked, unblocked. I could even have a terminal illness. I consider those fruits.

In the recent past months we did experience interaction with someone who said he had accomplished union with God. There are many specific Writings to the effect this will not happen. He was not able to accept this point of view and actually as a result of interaction with us and moi, he withdrew from the Faith.

So where are you? What can we help you with. Love, cp

Yes, I would agree.

"As to God, we shall never attain to Him but by the complete repose of the faculties of the intellect, no longer perceiving either deification, nor life, nor substance which holds any exact comparison with this Primal Cause, super-eminently raised above all things"

- Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, important Catholic mystic and theologian of the fifth century: Divine Names, Chapter II

Although I think its also important to remember that although we can never comprehend or know God in essence, we can attain union with him through love...

"...Love begets a likeness between the lover and the object of his love...The stanzas of the Living Flame speak of a love still more perfect and complete. The soul already transformed, and glowing interiorly in the fire of love, is not only united with the divine fire, but becomes a living flame. The action of the Holy Spirit within it is to kindle it and set it on fire; this is the burning of love, in union with which the will loves most deeply, being now one by love with that Flame of Fire..."

- St John of the Cross
