Mass is "idolatrous heresy"

Some Presbyterian ministers {members of Orange Order} said that the Mass is "idolatrous heresy".Why dont Baha'is say this?

Coz it ain't! nuf said.

You know what is rather ironic about that? Isn't the Presbyterian church Protestant? Nothing wrong with that, and I'm not picking sides, but since the Roman church was first and the Protestant movement was a schism from it, doesn't that technically make Presbyterian heretical? Please don't imagine I am using "heretical" in a judgmental way or that I am saying one of these churches is better, but just from a technical view, aren't Presbyterians and other Protestants actually Catholic heretics in a sense?

I think my sister has been going to a Presbyterian church with her family. I was so glad to hear that, because I really think everyone should have religion, "heretical" or not.

"Idolatrous heresy", eh? That's a new one on me

Why, isn't it lovely to see how some of our fellow Christian brothers think of us

Actually Baha'u'llah used imagery from the Catholic mass in his address to the Pope, so I hardly think that he considered it to be "idolatrous heresy" (which I must say is quite inventive lol! I'm impressed!).

Snipe, snipe, snipe

Oh, how silly! As conscious as I am about these things, the Mass after Xmas in the St Louis Cathederal in New Orleans was beautiful, as well as the funeral mall I went to in Sept. Anyone who needs to cut someone else down to build themself up is indeed in shallow water in a deep hulled boat. I bet their pots are black too!

Besides, did any of you see the movie 'The Omen?' Well, when they dragged that little boy (who was actually the son of the devil) kicking and screaming to that Church....wasn't that a Catholic church?

So why would the devil be so scared of going into a Catholic church if it's heretical? I mean, would not the devil PREFER a heretical church over another kind?!

Just sayin'

Well consider the source.. What has been going on in Ireland and Northern Ireland for what? centuries?

The Baha'i role would be toward finding ways there can be peace and security for this ancient Island..and a transcendence above the strife and bloodshed caused by partisans on both sides.

One of messages that I think supports peaceful resolution came from Dermot Ahern a few years ago...

Strengthened UN crucial for resolving global conflicts, Ireland tells Assembly
2 October 2007 –

Ireland’s Foreign Minister has advocated strengthening United Nations efforts in the field of conflict prevention and resolution, as well as sharing lessons learned, as key factors to achieving peace in today’s strife-ridden world.

“Today, despite all our efforts, violence conflict remains all too common,” Dermot Ahern told the annual high-level debate of the General Assembly.

Urging nations to make use of the full array of instruments available to resolve conflict, he stressed that “in making peace, we must be as creative and determined as those who wage war.”

Mr. Ahern said it is vital to ensure that the UN Peacebuilding Commission – set up last year to help countries emerging from conflict consolidate their gains and not slide back into war – and the accompanying Peacebuilding Fund are organized and resourced to fulfil their important mandates.

I believe Baha'is would certainly support such an effort.

Also please see this wonderful message that Counselor Adib Taherzadeh sent to the Baha'is of Ireland.. I couldn't quote it in it's entirety here but it's focus is on spiritualization:
