I am a new Baha'i. I am wondering: Do any Baha'is celebrate holidays such as Christmas? What about holidays like Halloween? Do any Baha'is watch scary movies, or movies featuring vampires? |

We just celebrated Ayyam-i-Ha for four days this year from February 26th to March 1st.. It's a time of socializing, gift exchanges and fun.. Our next big holiday is Naw-Ruz March 21st which is at the end of our Fast.. Naw-Ruz is our New Year! So we have a lot of food and happy times.. If a Baha'i has Christian relatives they can celebrate Christmas with them but we Baha'is don't celebrate Christmas with each other.. There's no Baha'i holiday like Holloween..and so whether children want to dress up for that depending on their friends or school it's up to them. Baha'is can watch any movies they wish.. however some might not have the kind of values we Baha'is are promoting and encouraging but it's up to the individual what they watch.. | |
