Universal House of Justice announces celebration of the "twin festivals" in 2015!

This thread didn't get indexed in the front page. I'm posting a link so it gets indexed and gets the discussion it deserves:

I had the sense that somehow the "Twin Anniversaries" would be celebrated together in the West eventually, and I am very happy to see it happening so soon. Also, the integration of the lunar reckoning within the solar calendar has precedent with the Christian Easter ( based on Passover in the Jewish lunar calendar). The characteristic of the Jewish calendar to use lunar months that are corrected to the solar year by inserting an extra lunar month every few years is common to the Chinese calendar also. So, the idea of movable feast days has familiarity in most cultures around the world.

There has been a tendency in the Baha'i community to use Gregorian dates for everything, and add the Badi dates as an afterthought. I think these changes will encourage the use of the Badi calendar primarily, especially since there will no longer be a fixed relationship between them, since they will shift by a day depending on the exact calculation of Naw Ruz in Tehran.

I consider this also as a means for the Baha'is to at last make a full break from the old order.

Wonderful news.
