The Bahá'í Spirit

Sometimes, I read the entries as an outsider, thinking of what impression they make on someone who doesn't know about the Faith. We have a whole suffering world around us. We happen to have the key to the solution for it. Do we really convey that? I see all kinds of rather awkward discussions about all kinds of little details. But where do I see the Spirit?

Greetings from a somewhat puzzled

That's my feeling often, communing w/ others is so beautiful when we just walk in and meet the joy that overwhelms us and just carries us away. All too often we feel life so hard when we're faced w/ sadness and the needs of others. Maybe we can right here all work on this together.

While everyone has their own road and and their own experiences, what I've come to see is that life is hard because we that's how we really want it. I mean, if life was too easy it wouldn't be any fun, it would just be like a boring tedious job. What we got in life is a very interesting and challenging puzzle.

Here's a step that works for folks I've met:

It has to do w/ the fact that we can guarantee our enjoying a joyous spirit w/ the Friends if we ourselves make ourselves joyous. The kicker is that happiness in the Faith is not an "if", it's not optional. It required --mandatory. We gotta be happy like it or not.

You first.

My daughter sent me that pic yesterday, folks say it makes 'em smile. She's the one that (years ago) gave me a really neat book from the friends in Australia, "HAPPINESS - Jewels from the Words of Abdu'l Bahá" ©1995. What it's got is a couple dozen quotes from the Master on happiness and now you've brought it to memory I'll restart memorizing a few.

Tx, I owe you one!
