Brilliant Star School Honiara

Hello to all

This thread is devoted to the efforts of two Baha'is in the Solomon Islands, a Husband and Wife team that started a school based on the Baha'i Principals of Education in their local community. The Husband is a Trained Teacher and the school is currently in Henderson, near the Airport of the City of Honiara.

Education in the Solomon Islands is not free, there is no government welfare support and many have no income at all, education becomes difficult to obtain.

They need all the help they can get and as such this thread is to link you to their facebook page in the hope that each will consider if they can help in some way to progress this school. Prayers are always welcomed.

This link is to a Preview of a PDF File all about the School and its Progress to date.

If you wish to discuss aspects of this school please post.

They are currently putting 5 teachers through training, this is a confirmation as prior to this no teaching training was available. It will need outside support to acheive this as it requires funding for several blocks of training. A committee is being formed in Queensland Australia to help raise funds to which a link will be provided when this commences.

Regards Tony
