Free bahais? Forged will?

I came across some information as I'm new to the Baha'i faith, that shogi effendi forged the will of abdul baha and broke the convenant by not writing a will this was from a group who name themselves free bahais who believe in Bahaullah and abdul baha and from there say it's corrupted ? I can link the information has anyone heard of this before?

Dear Yousefy2,

there are some groups claiming different things. The Free Bahais and the Reform Bahais claim that the Will of 'Abdu'l-Bahá was a fraud and Shoghi Effendi wrote it to rise to power and become a dictatorial leader. There has been a stylistic analysis of the text saying that it was neither 'Abdu'l-Bahás handwriting nor His style. But as you know Shoghi Effendi was still a young student by then and had been sent to England. He neither had the time not the opportunity to do such things.

It is not true that Shoghi Effendi did not leave a will. He left an "earthly" will who settled his material legacy. But the announcement of the next Guardian - what he did not do - has nothing to do with the will. He should have announced his successor during his lifetime and have it confirmed by the Hands of the Cause.

I've read some of that stuff. Rather childish arguments.

I'm not sure about any scholarly analysis as I haven't looked into it, but if we're talking about the Will and Testament of Abdu'l-Baha, its in 3 parts, and you can really see how it was reflective of what was going on at each point in Abdu'l-Baha's life during each part.

There is one part which was written during an attack on Haifa which probably would have necessitated Abdu'l-Baha writing a Will in case - He states that should His life be taken, the Baha'is are to immediately establish the Universal House of Justice.

Of course He also mentions the Gaurdianship, but it was interesting how Abdu'l-Baha's perspective was that, if anything goes wrong with the Aghsan line, Baha'is establish the Universal House of Justice so the Faith is protected. This line of thinking can be applied to the situation following Shoghi Effendi's unexpected passing as well IMO.
