Dear kami2k,

there is nothing in the Writings about "root races" as mankind is only one, created by one single creator, originating from one common root. Every distinction is man-made.

Furthermore the tables shown in your link are - from a scientific point of view - absolute nonsense. There is no basis for the categories made up there.

My apologies for having not sooner been made aware of your post

You have asked a question few believers of my acquaintance are able to answer without some consternation of becoming embroiled in controversy. We shall begin with an introduction of the person internationally known within the esoteric community.

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (July 31, 1831 - May 8, 1891) was a Russian occultist, spirit medium, and author who co-founded the Theosophical
Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric movement that the society promoted.

'Abdu'l-Baha was invited and spoke at a meeting of the Theosophical Society.

ON September 30th, 'Abdu'l-Bah met the Theosophical society at their new Headquarters at the express request of their president Mrs. Annie Besant. After a general history of the movement and sympathetic words of welcome by Mr. A. P. Sinnett, 'Abdu'l-Bah rose and delivered to the crowded assembly an address upon the distinctive notes of the Bah' teaching, warmly commending the eagerness of the Society in its search for Truth. 27

Theosophical Head Quarters.
September 30th, 1911.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Abdu'l-Baha in London, p. 25)

Kami,

To continue........as to the Root Race of which you inquired, some mention is made that would coincide within the suggested time frames, but not in as much detail. Hence, references made to one million and fifty million years.

Likewise, strive thou to comprehend the meaning of the melody of that eternal beauty, Husayn, son of Ali, who, addressing Salman, spoke words such as these: "I was with a thousand Adams, the interval between each and the next Adam was fifty thousand years, and to each one of these I declared 168 the Successorship conferred upon my father." He then recounteth certain details, until he saith: "I have fought one thousand battles in the path of God, the least and most insignificant of which was like the battle of Khaybar, in which battle my father fought and contended against the infidels." Endeavour now to apprehend from these two traditions the mysteries of "end," "return," and "creation without beginning or end."
(Baha'u'llah, The Kitab-i-Iqan, p. 167)

33. O servant of God! We have noted what thou didst write to Jinab-i-Ibn-Abhar, and thy question regarding the verse:
'Whoso layeth claim to a Revelation direct from God, ere the expiration of a full thousand years, such a man is assuredly a lying impostor.'

The meaning of this is that any individual who, before the expiry of a full thousand years
-- years known and clearly established by common usage and requiring no interpretation -- should lay claim to a Revelation direct from God, even though he should reveal certain signs, that man is assuredly false and an impostor.

This is not a reference to the Universal Manifestation, for it is clearly set forth in the Holy Writings that centuries, nay thousands of years, must pass on to completion, before a Manifestation like unto this Manifestation shall appear again.

It is possible, however, that after the completion of a full thousand years, certain Holy Beings will be empowered to deliver a Revelation: this, however, will not be through a Universal Manifestation. Wherefore every day of the cycle of the Blessed Beauty is in reality equal to one year, and every year of it is equal to a thousand years. 68

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 67)
(continued in "a new race of men")

Kami,

And why so much concern among Baha'is?"

The substance is, that prior to the completion of a thousand years, no individual may presume to breathe a word. All must consider themselves to be of the order of subjects, submissive and obedient to the commandments of God and the laws of the House of Justice. Should any deviate by so much as a needle's point from the decrees of the Universal House of Justice, or falter in his compliance therewith, then is he of the outcast and rejected.

As to the cycle of the Blessed Beauty -- the times of the Greatest Name -- this is not limited to a thousand or two thousand years....

When it is said that the period of a thousand years beginneth with the Manifestation of the Blessed Beauty and every day thereof is a thousand years, the intent is a reference to the cycle of the Blessed Beauty, which in this context will extend over many ages into the unborn reaches of time.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu'l-Baha, p. 68)

Kami,

Among the believers, "a new race of men" is in reference to America. The Guardian has warned:

Dearly beloved friends! Great as is my love and admiration for you, convinced as I am of the paramount share which you can, and will, undoubtedly have in both the continental and international spheres of future Bah' activity and service, I feel it nevertheless incumbent upon me to utter, at this juncture, a word of warning. The glowing tributes, so repeatedly and deservedly paid to the capacity, the spirit, the conduct, and the high rank, of the American believers, both individually and as an organic community, must, under no circumstances, be confounded with the characteristics and nature of the people from which God has raised them up. A sharp distinction between that community and that people must be made, and resolutely and fearlessly upheld, if we wish to give due recognition to the transmuting power of the Faith of Bah'u'llh, in its impact on the lives and standards of those who have chosen to enlist under His banner. Otherwise, the supreme and distinguishing function of His Revelation, which is none other than the calling into being of a new race of men, will remain wholly unrecognized and completely obscured. 17

(Shoghi Effendi, The Advent of Divine Justice, p. 16)

Add unto this..........how the many may not be able to discern the literal from the deeper meanings of Sacred Text :
"There are many worlds of light. For even as the plant imagines life ends with itself and has no knowledge of our
existence, so the materially-minded man has no knowledge of other worlds of consciousness." - Abdu'l-Baha, Divine
Philosophy, p. 122

Kami,

In "other worlds of consciousness" we may understand some of what the Theosophists claim as manifesting for the believers in other worlds of God, even unto our transformations beyond death as known in the Kull-i-Shay, the Vahids in the Badi Calendar, making reference to the Kingdoms of Abha and Baha, Heavens beyond the Veil of No Name or Description.

We find such an evolution in becoming the "People of the Light".
