The Station of America.

I want to talk about the station of America from the perspective of the Bahai Writings.

My understanding is that America will occupy a prominent position spiritually in the future. But that it is not a given. That if Baha'is fail to do what they are supposed to do, namely teach the Faith, then that prominent station may not be achieved.

Am I right in my understanding?

Great to see you Thomas, it has been a while...lots happening in life!

I see that it will unfold with or without our help. We have been given the opportunity to lighten the load so to speak. Baha'u'llah says if we do not arise it will be given over to others to acheive. This could be where we are at.

There is no real clarity in this from what I see, as each believer will have an idea on this topic from their own Frame of Reference.

Could it be that this is saying a lot more than we know;

"The world is in travail, and its agitation waxeth day by day. Its face is turned towards waywardness and unbelief. Such shall be its plight, that to disclose it now would not be meet and seemly. Its perversity will long continue. And when the appointed hour is come, there shall suddenly appear that which shall cause the limbs of mankind to quake. Then, and only then, will the Divine Standard be unfurled, and the Nightingale of Paradise warble its melody."

Have you noticed how hard it is to find a soul that is eager to hear of the Message of Baha'u'llah, is it because we are still not looking in the right places, or does that quote foretell that many will not be looking?

Regards Tony

I would say that America has already played a prominent role in the spread of the Faith, so all the statements by Abdu'l-Baha have been fulfilled. What strikes me is that the US and Canada no longer have international pioneering goals in the current Plan, and we can see the national Baha'i communities throughout the world growing stronger at a faster rate than they are here. It's time for North America to learn from the rest of the world about how to spread the Faith.

It may well be that some time following the next presidential election in the USA, the year 2021 begins their office, that the great powers of east (China) and west will lead the nations to a new stage of the Lesser Peace.

This doesn't mean to take to politics but rather increase the love of all humanity in action and leaders will naturally rise out of the soil of earth as flowers do a well tended garden.

It may well be that Donald Trump will help initiate a disaster that leads to the Lesser Peace. One thing that might happen is a nuclear exchange between North Korea and America. I don't expect that Donald Trump will lead us to the Lesser Peace after the disaster, because he always puts America first. There will need to be a new election to elect someone else. There will be no lesser peace until all see that we can't keep going on this way, that something has to change. They don't see that now. Not without a disaster.

From selections of Abdul Baha...

...Speak thou no word of politics; thy task concerneth the life of the soul, for this verily leadeth to man’s joy in the world of God. Except to speak well of them, make thou no mention of the earth’s kings, and the worldly governments thereof. Rather, confine thine utterance to spreading the blissful tidings of the Kingdom of God, and demonstrating the influence of the Word of God, and the holiness of the Cause of God. Tell thou of abiding joy and spiritual delights, and godlike qualities, and of how the Sun of Truth hath risen above the earth’s horizons: tell of the blowing of the spirit of life into the body of the world.
