Guidance Concerning Time of Waking

Is there any guidance in the writings concerning what time of day it is best to wake up (i.e. before sunrise, after sunrise, etc.) or to avoid sleeping during the day?

I have seen some mention if this, would need to search.

I have chosen to get up prior to dawn, as to say dawn prayers as the light dawns on the horizon. In the book dawn extends to 2hrs after sunrise.

I think also said that a rest period in the midlle part of the day is a good idea, much as they do in Morocco.

TheThis is the Hidden Word that motivated me not to miss a dawn

“30 O BOND SLAVE OF THE WORLD! Many a dawn hath the breeze of My loving-kindness wafted over thee and found thee upon the bed of heedlessness fast asleep. Bewailing then thy plight it returned whence it came."

“28: O ESSENCE OF DESIRE! At many a dawn have I turned from the realms of the Placeless unto thine abode, and found thee on the bed of ease busied with others than Myself. Thereupon, even as the flash of the spirit, I returned to the realms of celestial glory and breathed it not in My retreats above unto the hosts of holiness.

Regards Tony

Perhaps dawn could also refer to the dawn of a new Revelation?

Although I would agree it is a good practice to wake early and sleep early enough.

Yes inded this would also be applicable. Remember there are Seventy and One meanings.

I would say we should look at Abdul'baha and see when He got up.

Dawn is a special time for sure.

By the way loved the profile picture change.

Although rising time is somewhat conditioned upon health and individual daily needs of each person, if one were to begin the day an hour or half an hour before dawn (6am is dawn of the extreme latitudes e.g. north of the Arctic circle iirc from Shogi Effendi) for the purpose of communing with God in prayer and supplication, whether quiet or voiced, whichever is most sincere and devoted, it would seem to me highly laudable and conducive to health and spiritual happiness.
