Has anyone ever heard of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo?

Can I be a Bahai and still chant this?

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo is a Buddhist chant. Certainly a Baha'i can recite that if he wishes, just as we can read scriptures and prayers from any religion.

That is, in addition to the Baha'i prayers we should say every day, and other specific Baha'i practices such as fasting during a period of time (which is coming up soon).

"Nam-myoho-renge-kyo could be described as a vow, an expression of determination, to embrace and manifest our Buddha nature. It is a pledge to oneself to never yield to difficulties and to win over one’s suffering. At the same time, it is a vow to help others reveal this law in their own lives and achieve happiness."

Why not?

You are referring to Nichiren Buddhism. Soka gakkai perhaps?
