Do you smoke marijuana? what do you think about cannabis legalization?
I do because it benefits me in many ways.
Here is one of many reason why you should support cannabis legaliztion:

It is against Baha'i Law to partake of Drugs or Alcoholic drinks.

An exemption is allowed only if a doctor prescribes the medicine.

Cannabis is a proven pain suppressant, but would need to be commercially produced to prevent unnesessary side effects and misuse.

Personally, I would say that it is possible to use it spiritually (I think the term for this is entheogen), since it seems to calm one's mind, which would aid in meditation. In a sense, I see it as a tool. It can help you, yes, but like one should not rely on a crutch for too long, one should seek to eventually overcome the need for such a tool, even if it can be used spiritually.

Keep in mind though, as I speak of using it as a crutch - Just because it can aid you, this does not mean it's the best way. Just as you may use a crutch until you are strong enough to walk without it, you should strive to achieve spirituality in more effective ways. I suppose a crutch isn't the best example because some people need them, but with marijuana you do not need it even temporarily. I'm simply noting that it is capable of being used spiritually. Though not scripture, the Universal House of Justice has said:

"Concerning the so-called 'spiritual' virtues of the hallucinogens… spiritual stimulation should come from turning one's heart to Bahá’u’lláh, and not through physical means such as drugs and agents." (From a letter of the Universal House of Justice to the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States, April 15, 1965: National Bahá’í Review, No. 3, March 1968) - Obviously saying, there is a much more effective way, through Baha'u'llah.

With that being said, recreational use of any mind altering substance, be it alcohol, marijuana, LSD, etc - is something I would not stand for. If one is to use it at all, why would they want to use it trivially, when they could be at the very least, using it to better themselves.

Medical use, if prescribed by a doctor is allowed.

...I know this probably is just a spam thread, but eh, I've always wanted to actually write about my thoughts on this. I definitely think it can be used spiritually, though there are obviously better ways.

As a note -- my understanding is that certain people within the Sikh tradition are permitted to use cannabis in spiritual endeavors.

Certainly, it is a substance to be used with care and wisdom, not simply as a means of recreation.
