How Bahais win the Lottery Jackpot with Prayer

This is tongue and cheek facetiousness to some degree for people with a sense of humor, but with some important spiritual lessons:

In America right now there is a Lottery where if someone wins the jackpot they win this:

$
522
MILLION
Cash Option: $308 million

Imagine the Bahai Fund if a Bahai could win that?

How to pray to win the lottery:

1.
Find the Greatest Bahai Teacher and Scholar who reminds you of Mr. Roarke from the American Television Series Fantasy Island, except imagine this is your Pilgrimage to the Bahai World Centre and some Great Gentleman and a midget greets pilgrims

Who comes to mind the most is Mr. Ali Nakhjavani or whatever Regal style English speaker with a touch of a foreign accent like Arabic, Persian, or Spanish. I don't know if there's a resident Midget at the Bahai World Centre to greet pilgrims but there really should be.

Anyways 11:00 Mr. Ali Nakhjavani starts going on and on about how to properly Pray. Around 14:00 He warns us about the problem with being so convinced you know the solution to your problem. And then He reveals this prayer:

"
“He is the Gracious, the All-Bountiful!…”
He is the Gracious, the All-Bountiful!
O God, my God! Thy call hath attracted me, and the voice of Thy Pen of Glory awakened me. The stream of Thy holy utterance hath enraptured me, and the wine of Thine inspiration entranced me. Thou seest me, O Lord, detached from all things but Thee, clinging to the cord of Thy bounty and craving the wonders of Thy grace. I ask Thee, by the eternal billows of Thy loving-kindness and the shining lights of Thy tender care and favor, to grant that which shall draw me nigh unto Thee and make me rich in Thy wealth. My tongue, my pen, my whole being, testify to Thy 144 power, Thy might, Thy grace and Thy bounty, that Thou art God and there is none other God but Thee, the Powerful, the Mighty.
I bear witness at this moment, O my God, to my helplessness and Thy sovereignty, my feebleness and Thy power. I know not that which profiteth me or harmeth me; Thou art, verily, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. Do Thou decree for me, O Lord, my God, and my Master, that which will make me feel content with Thine eternal decree and will prosper me in every world of Thine. Thou art in truth the Gracious, the Bountiful.
Lord! Turn me not away from the ocean of Thy wealth and the heaven of Thy mercy, and ordain for me the good of this world and hereafter. Verily, Thou art the Lord of the mercy-seat, enthroned in the highest; there is none other God but Thee, the One, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. "

Anyways Ali Nakhjavani Welcolmes you all to Fantasy Island and makes it Reality if you get how important it is to always say to GOD [B][I] I know not that which profiteth me or harmeth me; Thou art, verily, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. before you say something like but all that money sure seems like it would make my life a lot easier and a lot of other people's life easier too

I can think of a few reasons

Friends Of Brilliant Star – Charity CH3020 – Supporting the Brilliant Stars of The Solomon Islands

They need land to build a school urgently.

But yes we would pray Gods Will be done for the school and let the funds come from the sacrafice of friends, if that is what will be.

Regards Tony

Your question about the Lottery is a bit exaggerated, but I have a more moderate condition that can fit the issue.

There have been times in my life that I had absolutely no money at all. Zero. I teach English at university, and I remember once when I was coming back, I didn't have enough money to take a bus, so I had to walk all the way back home. It was a hot afternoon, and I really loved to buy myself an ice cream, but I did not have money for that either. Now, I receive my salary at the end of each semester, and not monthly. That makes it twice a year, every 6 months, and it is a VERY small amount.
Then I reached home and thought, "God will give me whatever I need, if I put all my trust on Him. I have done my best and I do not know what else I can do. but God knows...." and then I forgot about the money completely.

The next day, someone gave me a good amount of money I had borrowed her some times in the past and I had completely forgotten. Then my father decided to give me a gift of money (without knowing about my financial condition) and after that someone asked me to do a translation job for him, and I received a good money for that as well. After all that money ended, I received my salary, and interestingly, it was higher than it should be, and when I told the university staff, they said that it was not higher than usual, and I should take it.

Now, that kind of thing has happened a lot to me. Just when my money finishes, I find some in the pockets of an old jacket or in a bag I had forgotten, or someone asks me to do a translation for him.

and once, many years ago, in a gathering of friends and relatives, they decided to play Bingo and they went on betting on a rather high amount of money. I dislike bingo and I dislike betting. But a very sure and strong voice said to me "play and you will win". it was so sure and so strong that without a moment of thought, I joined them and easily won all that money.

I hope these examples can satisfy a little of your curiosity on the subject.

I believe that the casino of Monte Carlo was lucky. If Abdu'l-Bahá had visited them, they'd have gone bankrupt. :-)

What sort of a fool?

Quote:
"The inordinate disparity between rich and poor, a source of acute suffering, keeps the world in a state of instability, virtually on the brink of war. Few societies have dealt effectively with this situation. The solution calls for the combined application of spiritual, moral and practical approaches. A fresh look at the problem is required, entailing consultation with experts from a wide spectrum of disciplines, devoid of economic and ideological polemics, and involving the people directly affected in the decisions that must urgently be made. It is an issue that is bound up not only with the necessity for eliminating extremes of wealth and poverty but also with those spiritual verities the understanding of which can produce a new universal attitude. Fostering such an attitude is itself a major part of the solution."

(The Universal House of Justice: The Promise of World Peace, pp. 10-11, Haifa, 1985)

Someone who knows how miserable poverty is, never takes what little wealth they've ever had for granted, has seen the kind of slaves people are to fiat currency, and has seen people with wealt foolishly flaunt, squander, and wave their materialistic b.s. all over the damn place like these filthy f-ing rich people:

That way such disgusting 13 bloodlines described in that video (which probably far beyond 13, and needs to include some of the old Abrahamic dynasty from Elitist Judeo/Christian/Islamic/ and some Afnan/Aghsan genetics too) can all be inspired to agree they're the ones most slated for the genocidal culling agenda they would otherwise continue inflicting wrongfully on good people in their elitist pyramid scheme. Because then the all of a sudden Spiritual Rags to Riches MultiMillionaires who has said the prayer for the Western United States revealed by Abdu'l-Baha "suffer me to speak out thy words amongst thy creatures" amost of his life of suffering and at his midlife crisis moment will alll of a sudden have a platform and audience and mob to go lynch and slaughgter all the filthy f-ing rich elitist pedocidal pedophile psychopaths.

That someone you describe is as much as a slave to the people he has seen. And they have the same Master.

I for one would rather find liberation from such a Master rather than be jealous of the slaves who seem to be favored by the Master.

Do you wish to live free, or continue on as a slave??

by "the world" is meant your unawareness of Him Who is your Maker

The essence of true safety is to observe silence, to look at the end of things and to renounce the world.

(Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, p. 156)

Know ye that by "the world" is meant your unawareness of Him Who is your Maker, and your absorption in aught else but Him. The "life to come," on the other hand, signifieth the things that give you a safe approach to God, the All-Glorious, the Incomparable. Whatsoever deterreth you, in this Day, from loving God is nothing but the world. Flee it, that ye may be numbered with the blest. Should a man wish to adorn himself with the ornaments of the earth, to wear its apparels, or partake of the benefits it can bestow, no harm can befall him, if he alloweth nothing whatever to intervene between him and God, for God hath ordained every good thing, whether created in the heavens or in the earth, for such of His servants as truly believe in Him. Eat ye, O people, of the good things which God hath allowed you, and deprive not yourselves from His wondrous bounties. Render thanks and praise unto Him, and be of them that are truly thankful.

(Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 275)

You think maybe this video might be describing some people might allow some things to "intervene between" them "and God" ? or "such of His servants as truly" don't give a flying f about Him "Who is your Maker"?
