Jafar:

I joined this site to see if there were any Baha'i Adventure Motorcyclists. I am planning a ride from Texas to Tierra del Fuego. I want to make it to a small village called Ushuaia. It is the last town at the tip of the South American Continent. My tentative plan is to leave in December 2008 and take about two and a half months to get there. I want this ride to include travel teaching. I am also considering Pioneering somewhere in South America (Chile, Argentina maybe) as a follow on to this ride. Please let me know how I can get this message out to others.

Wow - sounds like an adventure. What kind of motorcycle do you plan on using?

I'm not really sure what the best way to tell people is... There are some pretty big motorcycling forums on the internet, but it sounds like you want a Baha'i audience...

I will be riding a Triumph Tiger 955. It is built for both on and off road. This is something I've been planning for some time. Yes, it would be better if I went with a Baha'i because of the travel teaching. However, I am looking for a riding partner Baha'i or non Baha'i. I realize there is a high probability that I'll be making the trip solo. It takes a lot of financial, job and family planning to do a trip like this.

Hi guys,
I love bikes. I got my first when I was 5. I'm nearly 37 now. I used to do trials, motocross, road race, drag race and hill climb . Now I just plod along and enjoy the view.
I currently have a 1200R Sportster and an MZ350. Both keepers.
That sounds like a fantastic trip to Argentina. Italy is as far as I've gone. I'd like to get to America with my bike sometime - that Harley museum is calling me.

Just make sure everybody's wearing full protective gear!

I lost a dear Baha'i friend who rode a motorcycle: he hit a pothole one night, and that was it! I attended his funeral.

Enjoy, but enjoy safely!

yes safety will always be number one myself i have been riding all my life i grow up on bikes and rides. and there will be some criteria s that will have to be meet to be a member of the group that will address safety and sence a bahai needs to fallow the laws of the land we will also be fallowing the speed limit which speeding is the number two cause of crashing.
