NDF Order?

Dear friends,

I am wondering if their are any writings that suggests that the order in an NDF should begin with prayers, followed by administrative/consultation and conclude with the social part?

AT our local NDF a suggestion was bought forward to begin with prayers and writings, followed by having a social part and then concluding with the administrative/consultation part! We have been told that other local assemblies have tried or are having this "new" order - but before discussing this at the LSA - I am looking to see if their any writings which prohibits this?

Looking forward to any reply!

Best wishes,
B

The Nineteen day feast has three parts, but it is not stipulated which order they should be, so you can be flexible. I can remember going to some feasts way back where the order was tinkered with, and it was fine.

if its not broken dont fix it! I love the shape of the feast and th social part at the end is important for relaxed fraternity and always sends me home on an emotional high

Sometimes we have had the social part first.. It's probably up to the host. This is the first time I've seen anyone use "NDF" .. I had trouble at first trying to figure that one out!

Me too Arthra.I think the abbreviation detracts from its importance

I couldn't get it either, except from context. I thought, near death feast, and figured that couldn't be it!
