I have been saying for years to people that would say, oh you are so smart, you are so intelligent, that I could not have said things if they had not been listening and that even to the degree I may become complex in thinking and expressing ideas has to do with their ability to accept, perceive, and understand. (Maybe I just think they understand, but I think even on the phone there is a connection that is maintained that does not require overt acknowledgement to register the listener is understanding and taking me in.) There is an old movie where a British spinster takes a young coal miner tutors him and then sends him to the university. He is flabberghasted until he realized all she really wanted was someone to talk to. Is this not our position to God, we are elevating ourselves in order that we may be vessels that accept Him? |

Speakking to a receptive heart is indeed a joy and encourages me to expand on what I am saying and therefore makes me think more so that learnjng becomes a two-way street and the teacher learns with the pupil.
