"I know, verily, that the universal, never ending, eternal, bright and divine establishments are only the diffusing of the breaths of God, and the spreading of the instructions of God, and all that are beside these, though they be the reigning over all the regions of the earth, or the construction of railroads from the earth to the heavens, or means of transportation with the rapidity of rising lightning from the globe of earth to the globe of the sun, all are mortal, perishing, demolishing and disadvantageous, in comparison with the divine establishments. Because the latter (divine establishments) are intrinsic matters, while the former are but metaphorical matters; the latter are truth, while the former are imaginary." ~ Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. 32 When Abdul-Baha wrote about "railroads from the earth to the heavens" it was considered fantasy and probably a dream.. Railroads were interconnecting far points of the earth it was true but to suggest from the earth to the heavens was a fantasy. Also mono-rails were unknown at the time as well... All rail roads ran on tracks. But today that fantasy is becoming more likely.. For example, space elevators, a longtime fantasy of Google's founders and other Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, could collect information or haul things into space. (In theory, they involve rocketless space travel along a cable anchored to Earth Source: The Space Elevator Reference For graphics and a fascinating presentation see Michio Kaku: |

Back in 1936 SHoghi Effendi wrote: "A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity." - Shoghi Effendi The World Order of Baha'u'llahin the chapter World Unity the Goal, p. 202 Now what do you think that could refer to???? There's a really a powerful summary of future developements in that chapter! The World Order of Bahá'u'lláh, pages 202-206 |

I think we are using it now I like this - "all are mortal, perishing, demolishing and disadvantageous, in comparison with the divine establishments. Because the latter (divine establishments) are intrinsic matters, while the former are but metaphorical matters; the latter are truth, while the former are imaginary." I think that is now the most important thing (that is divine establishments) - Mankind needs God back in their lives. Regards Tony | |
