Just a question because the forum is pretty quiet at the moment as it has been for awhile so I want to keep the dialogue going. It seems that sometimes when a prophet comes he talks about the "Kingdom of God" being at hand. Is this just Baha'u'llah who primarily does this in relation to Jesus? Or is this something common thread in religion? As if that new prophet is ushering "the kingdom of God" with their coming? The second question. What exactly is the kingdom of God at hand mean? Is it all spiritual or does mean in the earth is going to become a paradise? If so then the second implication seems abit pointless in terms of mans spiritual journey in this life being just a process to attain the kingdom of God in th next world, if you know what I mean... Not pointless but of SECONDARY importance to gaining entrance into the real Kingdom of God which is heaven in the afterlife. Any thoughts? Sorry if my question is not particularly clear. I know Christians think God is going to come literally to the world and establish his kingdom on earth, but obviously this is not the Bahai perspective.. |

And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. etc... | |
