I am losing home access. I refuse to pay an addititonal 30 dollars to Comcast. They say my rate I had was promotional and told me I would only pay 29 a monoth, well, that was not true, they charged an additional 8 to rent the modem. That is dishonest and a racket in my definnition. Now they are adding lots of what? services? power? definition? I have only computer access. Marketing something in a certain way does not make it okay. There is too much of this in this country.

I don't know when I will be able to participate much. This place has meant a great deal to me. I have learned so much and some of it was about me! WOW!

Sorry to hear that Cire... Is there a way you can get an inexpensive Wifi...somehow with out some of the additional trimmings?

Anyway we still have Baha'i spiritual email...

did you consider changing ISP? THere should be some good ones out there I would have thought depending on where you are..
thats a shame. I guess the forum is good for bouncing ideas but ultimately we should be seeking to serve more 'out there' if given the opportunity. I dont know...

Very sorry to hear that CP. You'll be missed, for however long it is that you'll be gone.

I echo much of what the other friends said. Is there not another provider you could go with? There are so many competitors out there.

Please check you local library: many of these offer free computer access now to anyone who has a library card.

I lied!
I have to apologize. I could not stop the service even though the price is ridiculous. In a way the problem is not the price but the way marketing does things in this country. After a night to sleep on it, I could not stop internet access in my home. It's too much a part of my life, but it feels like an addiction.

Yawl have been so kind I will have to be careful not to come up with more issues to get attention. Thank you kindly.
