Where is Cire Perdue?

Forgive me, it probably just appears unrelated, and perhaps rude given I haven't been on the forum myself in a while, but has anyone heard anything from Cire Perdue? He hasn't done anything on here in almost a month, which is quite unlike him? Haven't heard from him in a while.

I've been trying to reach him for the past couple of weeks via email... no reply. I am very concerned -- he usually replies to me promptly. I'm getting worried for him. Does anyone here know how to contact him other than by email?

Yeah I was normally in fairly constant contact with him via email as well, and I do remember him having some ongoing issues with his health.. I really hope he is okay.

Well he's on my fb, but he hardly uses it I think. Still, I just found a ph. number there, and called it, but it has been disconnected.

I am praying for him at the shrines in a couple days. For now, the west wall will have to do.

Hi folks. I just want to update you. I have heard from Cire Perdue -- he has been quite ill, but is on the mend. Your prayers are very much appreciated. I ask that you please continue to offer prayers for his recovery. Hopefully he will be back on BF before too long. Thanks very kindly.

He's back....

Cire Perdue has had a spiritual crisis due to depression. I have been in the hospital for a month under really grim surroundings and situations. I was in a state facility due to no health insurance. I am only a little better. I plan to write about what I have been thinking. It is very hard to find one's life not going the way one wants and to find that one has presumed much about God. I find I have gotten MY consequences and have not approved of the results. I find myself defiant toward God. I know better, but do not feel what I know. I feel what I feel, and it is not very spritual.

I searched around for what may help, and came up with this:

Quote:
Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
perhaps its something about discovering the inner child? All the best,
Sen

Along the same lines, I used to say in the face of disagreements on mostly trivial matters that we're not robots. We have been given the power of will to choose our path. Now I see the depth of my error.

As Baha'u'llah says "Know ye that the embodiment of liberty and its symbol is the animal." We have been created for a much greater station only if we could resign our will to His.

"Say: True liberty consisteth in man’s submission unto My commandments, little as ye know it. Were men to observe that which We have sent down unto them from the Heaven of Revelation, they would, of a certainty, attain unto perfect liberty. Happy is the man that hath apprehended the Purpose of God in whatever He hath revealed from the Heaven of His Will, that pervadeth all created things. Say: The liberty that profiteth you is to be found nowhere except in complete servitude unto God, the Eternal Truth. Whoso hath tasted of its sweetness will refuse to barter it for all the dominion of earth and heaven."

Baha'u'llah, Gleanings Pages 335-336

Disavow the world and all that is therein. Look within and disown yourself; drown yourself in the Ocean of His Will. Become that child, become a robot who in full acquiescence follows His Commands. Become a true servant of God and you will find the whole world changed before your eyes.

Oddly you hit the mark. The inner child is running away with my life. I find I have not overcome my animal nature and fear of the future and unwillingness to face things. I do not want to rely on God. That after nearly 40 years of faith. The animal nature could be said to be the inner child in control who wants what he wants when he wants it.
