The two wise men... please rate this..

There was once two wise men.
The wise one said to the other.
"My friend let me tell you what love is. I have thought long and hard and decided that Love is an arrow to the back!"
THe other wise man replied.
"My friend love cant be an arrow to the back because I have already discovered what love is. Love is a baseball bat to the face!"
Ultimately because they were both wise men they decided to agree with eachother, that it was indeed both those things..

ok what do you think??

My interpretation, there are three things in this instance, note that their positions are inverted. First, "an arrow to the back" could mean that there may be an inevitable end to an existing relationship; the wise man would have to first feel the arrow to know it strikes him in the back. Second, "a baseball bat to the face" is when there is no possible relationship to begin with; the wise man first sees the baseball bat to know what he cannot obtain. The third subtlety is that those who love are susceptible to pain. Thus the moral is to choose carefully how to love. Love is a pan to the head

1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Look how Abraham strove to bring faith and love among the people; how Moses tried to unite the people by sound laws; how the Lord Christ suffered unto death to bring the light of love and truth into a darkened world;

How Muḥammad sought to bring unity and peace between the various uncivilized tribes among whom he dwelt. And last of all, Bahá’u’lláh has suffered forty years for the same cause—the single noble purpose of spreading love among the children of men—and for the peace and unity of the world the Báb gave up his life.

Thus, strive to follow the example of these Divine Beings, drink from Their fountain, be illumined by Their Light, and to the world be as symbols of the Mercy and Love of God. Be unto the world as rain and clouds of mercy, as suns of truth; be a celestial army, and you shall indeed conquer the city of hearts.

1 John 4-18 Ponder the Passage...

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

We love him, because he first loved us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Now Ask Yourself Which one is Eternal...

Your Assuming, I Rate it a 4, And Truly Respect your Understanding,

But God is Love, And Love is Infinite, As The Material World is but a Reflection of Spiritual Awareness, And Love is the Life line that Connects Both Worlds..

Love Never Fails.... As the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

Magi did any men that you loved ever give you the run around and torment you?
That is a part of love as well apparently..

Well First of All, I am a Man, And Love cast out All Fear, and Fear is Torment.

If any woman did give me, as you say... the run around...

It was I, who allowed it. And If I Was In Torment over it. Then it would Be My Own Fear, that I Was Once Bound to..That would have Caused it...

Not Love.

magi.
sorry about the confusion with gender.
Magi...
The more the torment the greater the ultimate pleasure of the union...
Still think torment is not a part of love??

Have you not read in the seven valleys the lover who was tormented by God to see his beloved and never could. What does that story mean to you?

I Have Read It, And Many Many others, Through out My Life,

Based on them All in Unity, And Giving them All Equal Respect, and Acknowledgement.

I Have come to the Conclusion, I Just Reflected.

Fear is Torment, It is Doubt and Confusion, It Is Selfishness, And the Desire to Get what you want, with-out Working for It.

Love is The Freedom from those Limited Attachments Listed Above...

With Love,

Magi.......
