Question Men's club?

Does anyone have any idea what drives women away from these forums?

Responses from women would be welcome.

Jim, you could try talking less, and listening more, and see what happens.

And talking to yourself only makes it worse.

I don't perceive that women are driven away. I'm thinking, they don't participate as much as men to begin with.

Maybe they just don't like to hear (or in this medium, see) themselves talk, as much as we men do.

All ribbing aside, I think there's an important point there. In general terms, the male mind is probably more apt to the linear exchange this medium provides, while the female mind is drawn toward the interactive web of FB and similar sites.

I think you might be on to something.

I tried facebook and just found it unenjoyable, personally. It seemed to me a great way to reconnect with people I had stopped connecting with for good reasons. And it has that black hole of my time, the dreaded games like fishville and farmville.

I could not say for sure but I have been on longstanding forums where there has been a decline that at least SEEMS to corelate to the rise in popularity with facebook. I suppose the interconnectivity of all actions is enjoyable for some, and maybe that means I am a bit too anti-social

But my wife isn't a great user of FB either so maybe that is a moot point. She's FAR more social than I, thank goodness.
