Hello all, I am sorry I keep loading you all up with my questions but I am needing faith bad, but I dont want to jump right into something without all my questions answered. I want to know if there is CLEAR unambiguous verses from scriptures that prove the coming of Baha'ullah. I have heard about numerology and etc.. but that to me seems like it can be interpreted in many ways. Also I would love particular clear islamic proofs if there are any. |

There are many prophecies of Islam that have been fulfilled in our belief and some are mentioned in the Writings. We take for instance the belief in the Day of Judgement as referring to the time when the Manifestation of God appears and mankind is then to make a decision .. Will we recognize Him?..this is the test for us. In each dispensation of the past there was a Judgement Day.. and many times the religious professionals failed to recognize the Manifestation of God and failed... They were judged. This happened when Jesus the Messiah appeared and when Prophet Muhammad appeared.. Another concept I'm sure you have heard is when the stars fall from heaven and there is a new heaven and a new earth.. We believe it is the heaven of religion that is new, that is new constellations appear and a new earth is born with each new dispensation.. SO the earth today is transformed that is our concept of it is different than say when our great great grandparents walked the earth. The falling stars represent the leaders of religion that is the clerical class, the priests and so on lose their power and "fall". There are many others... One essay that is available that I recommend to you is as follows: http://bahai-library.com/books/announcement.quran/ Take time reading it and you will find I think much value and you'll see some of the Baha'i perspectives.. - Art | |

Hello arthra, Thanks for the response. That was an interesting read. It is difficult for me to transition to the Bahai method of interpretation. I perhaps can do that with the bible but it gets difficult with the Quran. Very interesting though. |

21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (King James Bible, Revelation) 104. The Day that we roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed) -- even as We produced the first Creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (The Qur'an (Yusuf Ali tr), Surah 21) Looks like the Day of Judgement and the new heavens and new earth are in both the Bible and the Qur'an...so you get two for one! - Art |
