Hello, I'm reading the works of Baha'u'llah and would like to do so in chronological order. I'm having a real problem getting information from the web regarding a timeline for His writings. Would anyone here be able to help me? I read Aqdas first because it's the most important, even though I believe it was written very late in his life. I followed that with Iqan because of its value. I then read Seven Valleys/Four Valleys, Hidden Words, and Gems of Divine Mysteries. I decided to leave Tablets Revealed After Aqdas and Epistle to the Son of the Wolf until last because they were written after Aqdas. What about the rest? I have Gleanings, Prayers and Meditations, Proclamation, Summons of the Lord of Hosts, and finally, Tabernacle of Unity. Thanks for your help. |

Tabernacle of Divine Unity...Gems of Divine Mysteries, HIdden Words, Seven Valleys and Four Valleys were revealed early around the Bagdad period after 1850... Kitab-i-Iqan also later in the Bagdad period... Summons of the Lord of Hosts between around 1868 - 1870 or so... Kitab-i-Aqdas aropuind the early Akka period 1870 or sop...but not actually released till later.. Epistle to the Son of the Wolf revealed later and a complilation of earlier revelations... Gleanings and Prayers and Meditations are a general complilation by the Guardian Shoghi Effendi... Most of the books will have the approximate time they were revealed in the introduction... These are only the books of course that have been translated into English... - Art  |
