The life of Zoroaster

So, I've read through quite a bit of religious texts lately. Namely various parts of the christian deuterocanon along with much of the old testament, and various buddhist texts. I decided to try and see what I could find about Zoroaster, which was quite fun.

I read through much of the khorda Avesta, and after that I started to see if I could find some sort of narrative (like the old/new testament stories), and the closest things I found were the Vendidad and book 7 of the Denkard.

I'm quite curious as to Zoroaster's life, are there any sort of myths/stories about the life he lived? If so, where would I go about finding them?

Jolly good! Try your local library.

Didn't find this thread til today, but if you are still interested, try reading...Prophets of God, the Parallel Lives of God's Messengers. A group of us read this and went through it Messenger by Messenger. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and learned much. I loved the chapters on Zoroaster. His teachings are so timeless, as all God's Prophet's teachings are, Zoroaster just really resonates within me. It's a great read, I have read it several times. My only complaint is that it is not completely in chronological order, even though the author explains why he chose to do that.

Loving Baha'i regards,
Becky
