This was an interesting - and I would say fairly accurate test quiz. Belief-O-Matic - Beliefnet.com "...Even if YOU don't know what faith you are, Belief-O-MaticTM knows. Answer 20 questions about your concept of God, the afterlife, human nature, and more, and Belief-O-Matic™ will tell you what religion (if any) you practice...or ought to consider practicing..." My top 3 results came as no surprise ![]() Quote:

I was okay with the overactive bladder advertisements, but I don't want to sign in to take a test. The Church Father test was not valid, the answers were too limited.

Hey dont worry, i usually get reform Judaism as my number one, or Mayhanna buddhism, and Baha'i Faith second. And I think its a changing thing. How many people on the site are Baha'is answered a certain way and you reflect their patterns by.. etc

Apparetly I'm 53% Baha'i, however I personally would have rated myself as being far more "Baha'i" than say Seventh Day Adventist, but it is just a test - its obviously fallible! However since I answered that I believed that "God is three persons in one essence" and that I believed in heaven/hell/judgement day according to Christian beliefs, it was a dead cert that my top answers were all going to be Christian! As I say no surprise.

I took this over ten years ago, and I tried to score 100% by anwering questions in such away as to tow the Baha'i line 110% yet it still put me first as orthdox Jewish. Now I knew my Baha'i faith pretty well, and I knew a lot about orthdox Judaism from studying it in school, so there is no way I should not have been able to be 100% Baha'i yet couldn't! Conclusion: The quiz has misconceptions and errors about the Baha'i faith in its metrics and isn't realiable.

Try the new one and see what you get! My brother tried the old one and he got, "Quaker" for his top answer. He tried the new one and he got Eastern Orthodox and Catholic like me! It is just a fun test, its not real life! In real life my own personal convictions (apart from the top two) are completely different. I do feel that there isn't enough answers rellative to the Baha'i faith. I was thinkng that while i did the test, strangely enough.

Tests like these encourage the idea that faith should accomadate what we believe instead of it being true in of itself.

I am not suprised at my score. My top 5 are all monotheist faiths. As for Judaism, that's the area that I studied the most, so that must have influenced my answers. My family are born again Christians, but I was raised more 7th Adventist growing up so I ate 'kosher-lite'. Never tasted pork or ate a cheeseburger till I moved out of the house. |

I do not know Adventist religious theology. We were 7th Day because when we immigrated to Canada, that was the Protestant church closest to US. We adopted their practices, but once my mom began to study theology, so became quasi baptist/pentecostal.

William Miller predicted the return of Christ using the book of Daniel and came up with 1844. Abdul'baha used the same message, as of course Baha'u'llah did to show 1844. When it did not occur, it was called The Great Disappointment, b/c it meant the Bible was in error and that was truly inexplicable. I am sure there was not just one or two things that connected this for Miller, that there was a constellation of things that cease to make sense without that date working!

When I first done this test, I must admit, I think I answered it a little biasedly ![]() I tried this time to answer as honestly as possible and this is what I got. I believe this one to be the honest truth: 1. Orthodox Quaker (100%) 2. Eastern Orthodox (98%) 3. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (98%) 4. Roman Catholic (98%) 5. Seventh Day Adventist (88%) 6. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (87%) 7. Liberal Quakers (77%) 8. Baha'i Faith (76%) 9. Sikhism (72%) 10. Unitarian Universalism (67%) 11. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (21%) 26. Nontheist (21%) 27. Scientology (20%) I can see why I got Orthodox Quaker, tbh Although I am glad to see Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestantism as equally second place with 98%! And I agree that after Christianity, the Baha'i Faith and Sikhism are my closest faith matches!

I like the answer of ohhcuppycakee, it just proves we share similar beliefs. As a believer in progressive religion to me this is a proof. How could it be anything else, as God has been teaching mankind over the centuries He never sent only one message, but to listen to some people they appear that there is only one true religion all others are not !!! As Baha'u'llah instructs us to look at our similarities, work on Unity because this is the wish of our Creator. Love all. | |
