Intimacy rethought (WOW):

I have come firmly to believe that only by being loved do we grow and change, so this is very, very relevent to those thoughts:

As Baha'is, we are building a new culture-one that embraces a humble posture of learning and a language filled with encouragement. Our watchword is accompaniment..Our current culture has distorted the concept of intimacy as intended by the Blessed Beauty. As a result we have cultivated habits of isolation. The quotes below are inded to explore the concept of intimacy as it applies to all relationship-building and especially the "meaningful and disntinctive ocnversations" that will lead to veritable friendships and into our core activities.

The object of all the holy Manifestations is that hearts would come to know each other and souls become intimate. Abud'l-Baha, TODP p 50

...is not the object of every Revelation to effect a transformation in the whole character of mankind, a transformation that shall manifest itself both outwardly and inwardly, that shall affect both its inner life and external conditions? Kitab'i'Iqan p 240

The Beloved Guardian has continually reminded the friends that "these spiritual relationships are far more important and fundamental than the rules and regulations which much govern the conduct of Community affairs." LOG 404

There is more, but it is in Appendix D: Building Divine Friendships in SERVING THE DIVINE PLAN
