Dear Friends, Quote:
Also, what about this short prayer revealed by Bab for removal of difficulties? IS there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants and all abide by His bidding! Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Cheers! | |

This is from Baha'u'llah King of Glory by H M Balyuzi pg 114. (I am paraphrasing the story but the direct quotes from Baha'u'llah according to Nabil's Narrative are direct: This occurred during the time that Baha'u'llahs half brother Mirza Ya Ya was "technically the Head of the Faith of the Bab (as this was before Baha'u'llah's declaration) but he spent most of his time in hiding, preferring instead to lie like a snake and whisper lies, and accusations, twisting the truth and confusing the believers in which way to go. There was such danger to the faith being split into two factions and tearing a part the Cause of God, this is when Baha'u'llah decided to leave and go into the mountains. Such seclusion is similar to that of all Manifestations. Perhaps to purify the Messenger from the stain of believer and definitely to test the steadfastness of the believer when his Beloved is not in his midst. Mirza Aqa Jan testified "The Blessed Beauty evinced such sadness that the limbs of my body trembled." He also wrote that shortly before Baha'u'llah left for the mountains, he suddenly came out of His house, His nightcap still on His head pacing back and forth Baha'u'llah angrily remarked: "These creatures were the same creatures who for 3000 years worshipped idols and bowed down before the Golden Calf. Now, too they are fit for nothing better. What relation can there be between this people and the Countenance Of Glory? What ties can bind them to the One Who is the supreme embodiment of all that is lovable?" Mirza Aqa Jan said "I stood rooted in my spot, lifeless, dried up as a dead tree, ready to fall under the impact of His Words." Finally He said, "Bid them recite: Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants and all abide by His Bidding!" Tell them to repeat it five hundred times, nay one thousand times, by day, by night, sleeping and waking, that haply the Countenance of Glory may be unveiled to their eyes and tiers of light descend upon them." ************************************************** ******************* Have we underestimated the power of this short prayer? And what does it really mean? Christine |

Thank you very much Niadan for providing this story. I found it immensely fascinating. I am not educated that well in history of the Faith just yet, so I appreciate every bit of information. Will definitely need to read more. I absolutely agree with your point Essence of GOD. Just to refresh the topic, do we know something more about any other prayers? For example the Fire Tablet? Cheers! |

Refreshing the topic... I also came across this gorgeous prayer for protection revealed by the Bab. Apparently,he wrote it down in a form of a pentacle, which is interesting. Please find the full text under the following link: In the Name of God, the Lord... Do we know more about the circumstances when it was revealed and why was it written down in such a special form? |
