One Hundred Thousand Veils...

From the introduction of youtube:

The song focuses on the deteriorating human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, specifically the plight of the Iranian Bahá'í community, Iran's largest religious minority, who are being systematically deprived of some of the most basic human rights, including the right to higher education...

But we can't dare say they are wrong for doing so, that would be judgemental. At least this is what some bahai think. Its good to point out the savagery of these islamicist states which follow the quran and Hadith Traditions to their logical extremities.

Bunch of crazy rag-heads from Mecca with Muslim prayers on their pants going around killing Jews. I kind of like the term 'islamo-fascist' because they're a lot like the original fascists who were a bunch of crazy brown shirts from Rome with Christian prayers on their pants going around killing Jews. Then again, seems all my belly-aching does is help those crazy atheists who hate any one who loves God so they go out of their way to pick bad examples.

Atheism; now there's a religion of hate for you...

We must look upon our enemies with a sin-covering eye and act with justice when confronted with any injustice whatsoever, forgive all, consider the whole of humanity as our own family, the whole earth as our own country, be sympathetic with all suffering, nurse the sick, offer a shelter to the exiled, help the poor and those in need, dress all wounds and share the happiness of each one. Be compassionate, so that your actions will shine like unto the light streaming forth from the lamp. If the whole world should arise to deny this cause, we must not fight. Our only role is to spread the teachings. If it be accepted, all is well; if not, leave the people to God.

~ Abdu'l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 41

O ye friends of God! Show ye an endeavor that all the nations and communities of the world, even the enemies, put their trust, assurance and hope in you; that if a person falls into errors for a hundred-thousand times he may yet turn his face to you, hopeful that you will forgive his sins; for he must not become hopeless, neither grieved nor despondent. This is the conduct and the manner of the people of Baha'. This is the foundation of the most high pathway! Ye should conform your conduct and manners with the advices of Abdul-Baha.

~ Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v2, p. 436

That's always important to remember, and the hard part is also remembering we're not pacifists. What we've got is that we show mercy as individuals we show justice as a people. Baha'u'llah assigned America a very special role...
Quote:
Bind ye the broken with the hands of justice, and crush the oppressor who flourisheth with the rod of the commandments of your Lord, the Ordainer, the All-Wise.

(Baha'u'llah, The Proclamation of Baha'u'llah, p. 60)
Fortunately we're strong and clear when we consult about state policy, so we're ready to act when we see this--

--and we're not impressed by the prayers on the pants:

Baha'is are to stand up to the oppressor and free the oppressed if they can. We are to point out the evil deeds of such governments but from the seat of justice, and not let our judgment be clouded by hatred, name calling, generalizations and the kind. We are to approach all with equity.

Atheism hasn't had an aggressive campaing for world domination for 1400 years inspired by a prophet by whom all reasonable standards was a reprehensible human being, at least if you take the only sources that can validate the quran in a meaningful way seriously, Ie the Hadith.

Some bahai dissagree and think evil should be allowed to triumph.

There are some who'd point out that we've seen--
  1. An alliance of nations that has had atheism as the established state religion.
  2. This alliance has been bent on spreading atheist materialism with a goal of eventually dominating the totality of all human activity.
  3. Their struggle has ended up killing up to 100 million people world wide.
--and to that there are still others who'd reply "picky picky picky".

Huh, that seems to diverge somewhat from the sacred text where Baha'u'llah orders the Rulers of America to...

That's usually my preferred tack too. For me the hard part is remembering that stopping there is a mistake and that there are times (especially when dealing with unjust national policies) that while the sacred text seems to make anger a 'controlled substance', there are cases where it's mandatory:

Quote:
If he exercises his anger and wrath against the bloodthirsty tyrants who are like ferocious beasts, it is very praiseworthy; but if he does not use these qualities in a right way, they are blameworthy.

(Abdu'l-Baha, Some Answered Questions, p. 214)
