Am happy to have gained access to the Baha'i Forum and the ability it affords to communicate with such a vast world of believers.

My deep interest dwells in the evolution of the Faith and the potential of the believers to become involved in a divine science, as spoken by 'Abdu'l-Baha in The Promulgation of Universal Peace, pg. 138.

Scientific knowledge is the highest attainment upon the human plane, for science is the discoverer of realities. It is of two kinds: material and spiritual. Material science is the investigation of natural phenomena; divine science is the discovery and realization of spiritual verities. The world of humanity must acquire both. A bird has two wings; it cannot fly with one. Material and spiritual science are the two wings of human uplift and attainment. Both are necessary -- one the natural, the other supernatural; one material, the other divine. By the divine we mean the discovery of the mysteries of God, the comprehension of spiritual realities, the wisdom of God, inner significances of the heavenly religions and foundation of the law.

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace)

Good question. Worked with Adam in Baha'i Mystics and later in Millennial Mystics on the Baha'i Glossary (by Marzieh Gail) project. Never knew his family. Romane has been a good friend for nearly 20 years, working together in both Millennial Mystics and now the Divine Science project.

Thank you for the welcome, Susan...... a Divine Science is a subject rarely discussed among the believers. It tests their personal spiritual capacity of insight, ie., "inner sight" and their connection with their own Spirit of Faith.

A natural scientist often has a problem reconciling how the Writings can speak of the harmony between science and religion. The key to this is a Divine Science as defined by 'Abdu'l-Baha. Such a study, by what is gleaned in His description, would take the believer into the mystic core (foundation) of all religion.

A Divine Science

Best regards,
Zo

Zo,

Welcome!!! I’m going to try to be more active on here. Thanks for all your comments!! I’ll try to read the stuff you sent me too, thanks!
I’ve got a lot going on, but I’ll try to work on some poems and I also wanted to start a comparative religion series on here that I think you’ll enjoy.
