Making a decision about the hard times that's in my life.

Me and my mom just had a vicious argument. I really hate the situation i'm in. We're both baha'is but she doesn't seem to be caring about the baha'i principles. She turns an innocent conversation into an argument and I don't know why. She keep saying I don't help her. She keep attacking my character. She just doesn't care what she says to me even if it's a lie just laughs at me. It's a nightmare and hell because I feel like I'm going though this by my self. I'm not employed right now and I don't have any income but I just to get want to away from her negatively because it's causing me mental anguish. I get confused about life as a baha'i because unity is the main theme of this faith but sometimes you have to separate from some people. I'm trying to make right discussions in the situation i'm in.

May I ask for prayer request. Thank you.

I'd say that it's a matter of names. Just because people carry the label "Baháí", there is no guarantee that they always manifest the Bahá'í spirit. And the fact that people don't carry that label, doesn't preclude that they actually manifest the Bahá'í spirit.

Things are what they are, irrespective of the label. And I think that we have to make our decisions based on things as they are.

Hi I don't think it's wrong to distance ourselves from Injust people to a healthy degree but we must have love for them in our heart.. May Allah shed his bounty, forgiveness and his light upon you and enable you to find a way out of your troubles. May Allah help you brother .. I really wish everything goes okay

All these situations enable us to perfect our own selves.

Examine the situation and consider in your own self what you need to do, and ask is it your own self that needs to change?

You can not do that for any other person. The self examination is your prayer to Baha'u'llah and a gift from God. All is a gift for us to make the right decisions. Look nowhere else but in your own self and answers as to what to do will come and doors to the path to acheive these answers will open.

Thanks I agree. It's very interesting because whenever I
hear baha'is speak publicly they say this faith has a lot of power. But what I'm realizing as I'm looking at the world is that the individual has to take that power in. These are words on page, if you don't take what the words are saying seriously then you have no spiritual power both individualy and collectively. The home is the bedrock of society, if the home is in caos then society will be in caos. A whole household can call themselves baha'is but if they're actually doing evil then thay don't have spiritual power, thay just have negative energy.

I'm a truth seeking and broad minded person who like hearing other people veiws.

The Power is in Unity. We are to seek this before any other decision.

The ultimate Power is giving of oneself.

Consider that Baha'u'llah, Abdul'baha and Shoghi Effendi had covenant breakers in their households and right to the last minute they tried to help make a change.

That's what I'm saying. People have to believe and accept the concept of Unity and Truth for this world to progress. If people don't want to accept Unity and Truth the world will be caotic, at a standstill and regress.

Thanks for your thoughts tony.
