Martyrdom of the Báb

As I look at a blank page I am at a loss as to what I can say about this commemoration that would be of any signifigance, yet I want to say something to mark the occasion.

It seems to me that the events that unfolded on that day bear testament to the fact that, if God has a purpose for someone, and if it is His Will this purpose be fulfilled, men cannot prevent this from happening. This is even if they are seemingly exercising their will, in unison, and they have weapons and outnumber the person fulfilling God's Will.

I am also thinking of those Bahá'ís imprisoned in Iran, now.

For them, a prayer, revealed by the Báb

"Say: God sufficeth all things above all things, and nothing in the heavens or in the earth but God sufficeth. Verily, He is in Himself the Knower, the Sustainer, the Omnipotent."
