Where does it say in the writing that " the soul could only last one hour in the material world unguarded by the body." And if it does what is your understading of this?

Most bahais seem to be dualist, that the soul is of infinite more importance than the physical, that sort of old platonic idea. Where does that verse come from?

This was mentioned by Aaron in the forum on "Manifest psychic abilities and healing ". The exact quote was "When a person uses a psychic ability, they use phsycial energies with a connection to their inner capabilities. One should avoid using practies that involve the direct intentful manipulation channing of energies by means of will and volition. It had been said in the writings that the soul could only last one hour in the material world unguarded by the body. "

As no-one questioned this I thought maybe people knew what he was talking about.

I don't know Momtazi..

Baha'is generally are not into using or developing psychic abilities:

Spiritualism and Psychic Phenomena

"There is no ambiguity about the Master's attitude towards psychic forces. He very strongly warned the believers against using them."

(From a letter written on behalf of the Guardian, August 9, 1945 to the National Spiritual Assembly of the British Isles, Ibid)

(Compilations, Lights of Guidance, p. 517)
