As I was taking a look at this tablet for the first time now, I found a very beautiful and helpful part in it. this can help us through our difficulties and sorrows:

Sorrow belongeth to the Friends of God and His chosen ones;[33] tribulation befitteth the lovers of God and His trusted ones;[34] sadness and affliction becometh the Manifestations of God,[35] the Possessor of all things, whether of the past or the future.

maybe we should thank God for our sorrows as much as we thank him for our happiness. :)

Very beautiful. I believe there is a unity between happiness and sorrow to be discovered!!

Also reminds me of a verse I read recently (I'll have find the book and post the whole thing when I can, later) that said something kind of different. The Bab wrote something to the effect that people should not do anything that would cause them sadness, specifically because he wanted Him Whom God Will Make Manifest to be surrounded by happiness when he arrived. :D

Dear maryamr, yes I believe this is so, as all is from God for the progress of our Soul.

No one is tested beyond their capacity!

I like also to consider that Abdul'baha asked for more sorrow as to embrace God in a fuller measure!

Regards Tony

yes, I think what you are talking about is in the Bayan. one should not afflict him/herself with sorrows on his/her own will! it is wrong. rather Bahaullah talks about those sorrows and hardships that come to us without us really wanting them :)
